I think the best way that we can help is to raise money to send to the people who work with the Endangered Animals all of the time. They will be able to spend the money on things the animals really need.
Mummy says that the best way to raise money is to earn it and there are two ways that I can do this.
1. Doing jobs at home.
2. Getting sponsored to do bigger things that I wouldn't normally do.
My mummy and daddy thought these would be good prices if I did jobs at home!
Tidying my bedroom – 50p (per week) Being nice to my brother - no squabbles – 50p (per day)
Practising my reading - 10p (per day) Brushing my own hair without complaining - 5p (per day)
Finishing my dinner – 10p (per day) Getting myself dressed – 10p (per day)
Mummy says that the jobs and prices depend on the age of the child and how much money the grown up has.
My cousin has come up with another idea which is asking their Daddy if he has any spare coins in his pockets when he comes home from work. I also found lots of coins down the back of the sofa and Mummy said that I could keep those, so I am going to put them in my Endangered Animals Money Box and save them up!
Sponsorship
You need to agree something tricky with your grown up as if it isn’t a challenge then they won’t sponsor you very much money. My mummy gives me more money when I choose learning challenges - although I think I am going to do a swimming challenge next time.
It helps the grownups to sponsor you if you can count your challenge like number of swimming lengths, or on how many days out of 3 months you will eat all your fruit and vegetables.
Because the idea of this club is to earn some money every 3 months for a different Endangered Animal, it is good to just ask people that you know very well to sponsor you and only ask other people if your grownup thinks it is a good idea. Even if people can only give you a few pennies, that’s OK as it will all add up.
