I got a book on Mountain Gorilla's for Christmas, so I know that they are more endangered than almost every other animal on earth, there are only about 700 of them left in the wild and their home is in a dangerous area so they are very hard to protect. That is why they are the first Endangered Animals that I want to raise money for.
Mountain Gorillas are really gentle animals and live in a small area of Central Africa in the volcanic, mountain forests of Rwanda, Uganda and the Congo.

them to your computer - but please ask a grown up before you download them)

The main reason they are endangered is because there are more and more humans living near to where the Mountain Gorillas live. This means that the forests are getting smaller and smaller, because the people need to chop down the trees to make villages and to grow crops for food. Because the gorillas have a lot less space to live in, it makes it easier for nasty people called poachers to find them. Poachers will steal the baby gorillas and sell them or will shoot the big gorillas and sell parts of them to rich people. There are also people fighting a war in the Congo at the moment, so it is dangerous for the gorillas. I don't think that is fair, so I want to send money to help the Park Ranger protect the Mountain Gorillas from the poachers and keep them safe from the war.
